About Us

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one community and one child at a time. Our club concentrates on the students of the Tri-Village school, local communities, and the surrounding areas.

Our club was chartered September 27, 1937 and we have been serving this community for over 70 years. We were incorporated in the state of Ohio as a non-profit organization on September 15th, 1960 under a 501c 3 exemption.

Currently, we have approximately 20 members from New Madison, Wayne Lakes, Hollansburg, Palestine, and their rural areas. We currently meet most Thursday evenings (except 2nd) at 6:30 pm. at the Rescue Building (behind Dollar General) in New Madison, Ohio.

The Kiwanis organization has several affiliated groups. There are different groups for all levels of schooling. K Kids Clubs for primary students, Builders Clubs for intermediate students, Key Clubs for high school students. Our club sponsors a Key Club at Tri-Village High School.

Our Club is proud to support the following:

College Scholarships for graduating seniors; A 2nd year scholarship for a college student; Tri-Village FFA; Ohio Business Week; Reading Counts Program; Destination Imagination; High School Band & Chorus; School Fair & School Year Book; Special Olympics; March of Dimes; Big Brothers Big Sisters; Cops for Kids; New Madison Public Library; Hospice of Darke County; Community Christmas Activities; 4th of July Celebration; Adopt a Family; Annual County Home Picnic; Children’s Miracle Network; Ronald McDonald House; and many others….

Over 80% of our funds remain in the Tri-Village School District and its surrounding areas.

Our primary fundraiser is our sausage barn concessions sales during the summer months. All workers are volunteers and/or members, and 100% of our proceeds support our causes. Join us in the fun we have, and the fulfillment of community service.
